End Hunger UK brings together charities, foodbanks, campaigners and many other people involved in food aid and food justice. We all share a vision of a UK where everyone has access to good food, and no one has to go to bed hungry.
Foodbanks and food aid provide an essential emergency service, but we cannot truly End Hunger unless the Government also takes responsibility for ensuring everyone has access to good food. By speaking out together, we aim to persuade our Government to step up to the plate and take the action that is needed.
Because End Hunger UK includes all the major providers of food aid, all of our campaigns are rooted in the real stories and experiences of people who have experienced hunger, and of the frontline workers and volunteers who are tackling the problem every day.
Working together, End Hunger UK campaigners have already made a difference. For example, we helped persuade the Government to launch a pilot programme to tackle holiday hunger, and to reduce waiting times for Universal Credit.
More and more people like you are joining us. Together, we can achieve even more. Here are some ways you can take action to End Hunger right now:
- Read our Menu to End Hunger in the UK
- Get your church or other organisation to take part in End Hunger Week from 13 to 21 October
